COMPUTER BUSINESS APPLICATIONS

This two-semester course provides a high quality, Microsoft Office tutorial that will prepare students for Microsoft Office Specialist Certifications. Students will become proficient and ready for the job market by mastering Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Students receive math credit for taking this class and can also receive dual enrollment credit with Santa Barbara City College.

COMPUTER ACCOUNTING

This two-semester course prepares students for entry-level employment in the accounting or bookkeeping field. Students work independently and in groups to learn computerized general ledger, debit/credit classification, payroll, checkbook management, financial statements (development and analysis), electronic spreadsheet creation, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory.

VIRTUAL
ENTERPRISE

This two semester course is designed to give students the experience of working in a real business environment. Students determine the nature of their business, its products and services, its management and structure, and learn the daily operation of a business under the guidance of the instructor with the support of real business partners. This course qualifies for Economics credit for graduation; it will also satisfy UC A-G entrance requirement.

Robert Misling and Heidi Crouch from Montecito Bank and Trust will be providing Economics training to Virtual Enterprise students from February 2 to March 15.  As part of the class, Virtual Enterprise students receive Economics credit.  Mr. Misling and Ms. Crouch will be providing Economics training from February 2 to March 15.  They will be coming every Thursday during this time.  These presenters were provided by Lucille Ramirez from Partners In Education.  Virtual Enterprise students are very lucky to have these members from the community come to our class.
